InClimate 573; Ice Cream U Scream to Limit CO2

The climate is changing and the world’s getting hot, but you can keep your cool and help slow those changes with a scoop of ice cream at one of the Clean Power Hearings. Between July 29 and July 31, the Environmental Protection Agency is holding public hearings that address carbon emissions from power plants. It is the largest source of this greenhouse gas pollution in the USA.

This is the first time limits have been attempted on CO2 emissions from power plants. It’s a historic moment in time. The Climate Reality Project and Ben & Jerry’s have teamed up with an action plan that puts “I’m Too Hot” trucks with FREE ice cream around those hearings. They will be in all four of the host cities before, during and after the hearings with educational information, fun and a message of popular support to the EPA.
