Climate disruption impacts local pocket books and economies as favorite destinations become less welcoming because of bad weather and other changes. Wild fires sparked by droughts out west are covering more acreage. The Indian Canyons of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla were closed after the fires made them more susceptible to flash flooding. High waters along rivers, lakes and the coasts can make them less accessible for both transportation and recreation.



Puerto Rico’s famous Mosquito Bay isn’t glowing brightly these nights. The bioluminescence comes from microorganisms that scientists believe have been impacted by climate changes and pollution. The popular tourist attraction has been closed the last couple of months for further study.
