All aboard! The Peoples Climate Train departs the San Francisco Area (Emeryville, CA) September 15 en route to New York City (Penn Station) via Chicago (Union Station) filled with climate activists on their way to the Peoples Climate Convergence and Peoples Climate March. If climate disruption is getting you down, maybe you can be uplifted as the numbers grow and you witness thousands of activists working to mitigate the impact NOW. The March coincides with a United Nations summit on climate change.
You can join the route at stops as listed on the Peoples Climate Train web site. It begins the journey as the California Zephyr at 9:10 am September 15 and arrives in Chicago September 17 at 2:50 pm where there’s a train change to #48 the Lake Shore Limited departing at 9:30 pm and arriving at Penn Station September 18 at 6:23 pm. There are workshops and networking opportunities planned on board.
