The USA produces more carbon emissions per person than any other nation. A third of the emissions come from power plants. The new EPA plan focuses primarily on reducing the power plant emissions over the next 15 years by 30% of what they were in 2005.
Advances in renewable technology like wind and solar make this a very reasonable goal, but - of course - the mighty fossil fuel industry and their allies will fight it tooth and nail. Arm yourself with the graphic facts to defend the EPA regulations.
