InClimate 637; Great March for Climate Action

Besides the Peoples Climate March, there is another longer distance Great March for Climate Action (GMCA) anyone can join. The marchers left Los Angeles on March 1, 2014 and are walking across the USA with a planned arrival In Washington, D.C. on November 1 where there is a week of nonviolent direct action against extreme energy planned. So far, they’ve been able to stay pretty much on schedule.


 

We met some GMCA marchers that had taken a break from their walk in Ohio to attend the New York City Peoples Climate March. They have built a community including a mayor and other trappings of civilization. Cooks, wagons and other support vehicles are traveling along with the people as they collect stories to share on how climate change is impacting folks they meet along the way.


 

They issued an invitation to join them anywhere along the route. March for a day, a week or all the way to D.C. You can locate them at:
