The global investment bank HSBC released an analysis that predicts the dropping cost of solar arrays and home battery storage will disrupt traditional fossil fuel and nuclear energy generation. The report looked at Germany and concludes that comprehensive costs for home solar power generation and batteries will drop below the comparative cost of residential electricity from power plants within the decade. One more sign that the fossil fuel and nuclear industries are a bad investment risk. The transition is happening, now.
