A number of organizations have put their money where there mouth is when it comes to greenhouse gas reduction and sustainability. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) newsroom lists some of the global sustainability awards available. The latest includes this year’s Energy Innovation Contest (IDEAS V 2014) with a $200,000 (US) prize. It’s focused on innovation and increased access to renewable energy in Latin America and the Caribbean. If you scroll down on the site, there are other opportunities listed.
