InClimate 671; The I'm Not A Scientist Excuse

The vast majority of scientists around the world (at least 97%) agree human activity plays a significant role in the changing climate and that policies need to be placed in motion to at least mitigate what could well become catastrophic consequences. Yet, a great many politicians don’t do their homework and hide behind the “I’m not a scientist defense” to avoid the uncomfortable, but important policy decisions.
Perhaps, they should lose the privilege to make the other “I’m not a decisions” as well.

I can’t make a decision on roads, tunnels and bridges, I’m not an engineer.

I can’t make decisions on healthcare, I’m not a doctor.

I can’t make decisions on farm policy, I’m not a farmer.

The responsible policy makers consult with those experts to arrive at reasonable positions. If they don’t... throw the bums out.
