The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released another overview of global warming and its impacts. The message is clear. If we are to avoid catastrophic consequences, the level of political will and policy clarity must meet the level of scientific data and clarity on climate.
The logic follows:
A. Greenhouse gas emissions must be dramatically cut.
B. Cutting energy dependence on fossil fuels cuts those emissions the fastest.
C. Policy must be put in place to speed an energy transition to clean renewable sources.
