InClimate 688; Senate Votes No On Keystone

It’s time to transition away from fossil fuel as a primary energy source, so it was good to hear the Senate voted “No” to the boondoggle Keystone XL Pipeline, but... It’s too early to cheer. I was reminded of a sketch I made en-route or perhaps en-delay to New York City aboard the Peoples’ Climate Train. We were often held up on the way to the Climate March because of the heavy freight (read that oil) traffic. On my return trip, the delays were even longer - hours longer. A long line of oil cars end to end is just another dangerous set of pipes on steel wheels. And don’t forget, Enbridge has other pipelines in the works that could likely become Keystone’s backdoor.
