There’s a consensus among climate scientists: “97% of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities, and most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position.”

In the US, 87% of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) members say climate change is caused by human activity while only 50% of the general public agrees, but then again - 98% of scientists say humans have evolved over time and only 65% of the public agrees. - WashingtonPost.com

After a seven year study, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) composed of the world’s leading scientists announced it is “unequivocal” there is no longer any room for doubt climate change is occurring and the dominant cause has been human activity pouring greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
