Art in Odd Places #3

The Expeditionary Art Adventure Team Report #3. Water is Life; Mni Wiconi - these words in many languages flowed from the Sculptural Acoustic Roller Vessel as we traveled 14th St and beyond for Art in Odd Places 2017 SENSE. Water flows to unite with water because all elements are subject to the same laws. Water gives life and sometimes takes it away - but there is no life without it. What happens if our waters disappear or are polluted beyond repair? At the present time, there are over 1,000 Super Fund Sites in the USA that have not been cleaned up.

The Keynote address/performance included a water ritual that used half of our collected waters. We continued on with 1 vial from Day one of my 2,367.4-mile Mississippi River Swim as performance and environmental statement, one vial of Hudson and East River waters and half-vials of the rest of our previously collected waters. We collected the following hidden waters between the Hudson and East Rivers for a final performance.
