InClimate 787; European Renewables

Transitioning off fossil fuel is not easy, but it is the future for economic security, a healthy, clean environment and mitigating climate change. A recent report from the European Environment Agency (EEA) credits wind, solar, biomass and other renewable energy technologies as an important driving force in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. “Renewable energy is quickly becoming one of Europe’s great success stories. We can go even further: if we support innovation in this area it could become a major motor of Europe’s economy, bringing down emissions while creating jobs.” - Hans Bruyninckx, EEA Executive Director
