In 2004, the amount of new global investment in renewable energy was $40 billion which translated to a 3.7 gigawatts total in world production capacity of solar power.

 



In 2013, the amount of new global investment in renewable energy was $214 billion which translated to a 139 gigawatts total in world production capacity of solar power.
